September AFJ produces satisfactory results despite economic situation
Despite the still challenging economic circumstances, exhibitors and buyers at the September edition of Asia's Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Fair (AFJ) last year still noted satisfying results.
| The Fair took place from 21 to 24 September at Hall 2 of AsiaWorld-Expo, attracting the participation of more than 4,600 buyers from 90 countries and regions. Over 70% of visitors came from overseas, in which more than 300 came from the United States, followed, in terms of numbers, by India, Japan, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Spain, Germany and France. |
Celine Lau, director of jewellery fairs, UBM Asia, commented earlier, "Buyers are more selective and opt to visit only a few pivotal industry fairs in this uncertain economic environment. Thanks to our long-established reputation, September Fair remains one of those exhibitions they are always keen to join. Not only is it the definitive platform for sourcing Spring/Summer products, but it also offers an exclusive opportunity to network with potential suppliers and buyers and shed them insights of the upcoming market trends." |
|
| "This is the third time we've exhibited in September AFJ. We met quality buyers, mainly from Hong Kong and Taiwan. More buyers visited our booth than last year. It is an important fair for us because we meet many overseas buyers here. We will exhibit again next year," Kimitsugu Tokumitsu, representative of Kaza Co Ltd in Japan, said. |
"I came here to place orders for the next season. I met exhibitors from the Philippines and Indonesia. The Fair is very important to me because many suppliers from the Philippines and Indonesia exhibit in this show. The fair venue is very convenient too. I will visit again next year," James Smith, representative of LimeTree Traders LLC in the United States, commented.
